Timeframe Scan + Top-Down Analysis Checklist
Start with the timeframe table first. Build the full picture from Monthly down to M1, then write your final bias and trade plan manually.
Top-down rule: Fill the timeframe scan manually first. Use the price location, tapped R-level, reaction, bias, and objective to decide whether the market is giving a retracement buy, retracement sell, continuation, or no trade.
Timeframe Scan Table
Answer each timeframe manually. Price Location means where price is inside the fib. R-level tapped means the exact level price reacted from.
Top-Down Snapshot
This turns your timeframe scan into a simple Macro → Control → Execution view, similar to your example.
Final Bias / Trade Plan
Timeframe Summary Per Timeframe
This summary is generated from the scan table to help you review what each timeframe is saying.
Top-Down Auto Status
This translates the full timeframe scan into Macro / Control / Execution groups, classifies the setup, and suggests the route for Shift, Doji, Entry, Re-entry, and TP.
Timeframe Screenshots & Links
Upload or link the chart for each timeframe beside the same scan answers you used. This keeps your top-down analysis in one place.
Trade Screenshots & Links
Use only the main review shots: Before Entry, After Entry, and After Exit.
Trade Reasoning
Write your reasoning after the timeframe scan is complete. Explain why the trade makes sense, where it is invalidated, and where price is trying to go.
Reminder: Level first, then reaction, then entry confirmation. If the scan is mixed, target the nearest obstacle and do not force a far target.
Final Trade Decision Output
Manual decision only. Fill this after your timeframe scan and trade reasoning are clear.

Psychology + Execution Discipline
This section checks whether the trade was taken from the system or from emotion. Measure alignment, not only profit or loss.
Mindset Reminder: Trading is not about finding the holy grail or winning every trade. It is a business that needs structure, risk control, execution discipline, and consistency of behavior. A controlled loss that follows the rules is better than a lucky win taken emotionally.

System Alignment Questions
Use these to catch the exact problem: entering early, closing early, or not taking a valid trade.
Execution Reminder: The market does not know you exist. Losses are not punishment; they are a business expense. The goal is not to be right all the time. The goal is to follow one system repeatedly with risk control and discipline.

R2F / CR7 Backtesting + Trade Decision Framework
This page stores your complete framework inside the journal.
Journal Purpose
This journal is not meant to change, add to, or complicate the original R2F / CR7 system. It is simply a personal study and backtesting journal created to help me practice the rules more mechanically, review my chart decisions, and avoid emotional or random trades.
The main purpose of this journal is to help me document:
1. Which timeframe is controlling the move
Using the WMA cross guidance to know whether I should continue following the current RB or move up to a higher timeframe.
2. Which R/R2F level price reacted from
So I can clearly identify where price tapped, rejected, failed, or continued.
3. Whether the setup is Framework or CR7
To avoid mixing the two models and to understand whether I am trading a simple level reaction or a more selective CR7 setup.
4. Whether the doji entry followed the lesson rules
Including correct doji location, correct timeframe, and proper doji break entry.
5. Whether my risk, stop loss, and attempts were disciplined
Especially following the two-attempt rule and not forcing trades after the setup becomes invalid.
This journal is mainly for backtesting, screenshots, self-review, and discipline tracking.
For live trading, the goal is still to keep the execution simple:
Follow the cross.
Wait for the level.
Use the valid doji.
Place the stop correctly.
Stop after two failed attempts.
This is only my way of organizing the lessons so I can train my eyes, reduce overthinking, and follow the system with more discipline.
R2F / CR7 BACKTESTING + TRADE DECISION FRAMEWORK
Purpose:
To help determine the controlling timeframe, the valid R/R2F level, whether price is trading the Framework or CR7, and the exact doji entry conditions.
Core Reminder:
The level tells me WHERE to look.
The doji tells me HOW to enter.
The cross tells me WHEN to shift timeframe.
Risk management tells me HOW MUCH to risk.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
STEP 1: CHECK THE WMA CROSSES
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
For each timeframe, note the following:
1. LTF WMA Cross
Options:
* Bullish
* Bearish
* None
2. HTF WMA Cross / 300-700 WMA Cross
Options:
* Bullish
* Bearish
* None
Purpose:
The 30/70 WMA is tied to the CR7 model.
The 300/700 WMA helps determine when the higher timeframe is taking control.
If the 300/700 WMA crosses on the current timeframe, check if the RB should be shifted to the next higher timeframe.
Timeframe Shift Guide:
* 1M 300/700 cross = move to 15M RB
* 15M 300/700 cross = move to H1 RB
* H1 300/700 cross = move to H4 RB
* H4 300/700 cross = move to Daily RB
* Daily 300/700 cross = move to Weekly RB
* Weekly 300/700 cross = move to Monthly RB
Question:
Is the current lower-timeframe RB still valid, or has the 300/700 WMA cross told me to move up?
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
STEP 2: MARK THE RBOX AND R/R2F LEVELS
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Mark the correct RB first.
Then mark the key levels:
* RBox
* R level
* R30
* R50
* R70
For each timeframe, note the Current Price Location:
Options:
* Above R70
* Touched R70
* Between R50-R70
* Touched R50
* Between R30-R50
* Touched R30
* Below R30
* Inside RBox
* Tapped R/R2F level
Questions:
1. Did price tap a valid R/R2F level?
2. Which timeframe did the tapped level come from?
3. Is price reacting from 30, 50, 70, RBox, or another R level?
4. Is the level still valid, or has it been violated?
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
STEP 3: IDENTIFY IF 30 FAILED
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Determine if 30 Failure is present.
30 Failure means:
Price taps or wicks into the 30 level but does not continue in that direction. It rejects and starts moving the other way.
Options:
* 30 Failure Present
* 30 Failure Not Present
* Not Applicable
Questions:
1. Did price tap the 30?
2. Did price fail to continue beyond the 30?
3. Did price start moving toward the 50 or 70 after the failure?
Meaning:
If 30 fails, price may be looking for 50 and 70.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
STEP 4: IDENTIFY IF NEAR MISS IS PRESENT
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Near Miss means:
Price gets close to the 30 level but does not touch it, then moves away.
Options:
* Near Miss Present
* Near Miss Not Present
* Not Applicable
Questions:
1. Did price come close to the 30 but not touch it?
2. Did price move away strongly after the near miss?
3. Did consolidation start to matter after the near miss?
Meaning:
A near miss shows that price is still strong, but it can be an early clue before a later 30 failure.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
STEP 5: DETERMINE FRAMEWORK OR CR7
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Ask:
Am I trading the Framework or the CR7 model?
FRAMEWORK TRADE:
Framework trades are more frequent and happen around level reactions.
Examples:
* 30 reaction
* 50 reaction
* 70 reaction
* Near miss
* HTF level reaction
* RBox reaction
* Price bouncing from or rejecting a level
CR7 TRADE:
CR7 is more selective.
CR7 requires:
* 30/70 WMA cross
* Structure development or price movement after the cross
* 30 failure
* Move toward the 70
* Retracement to the 70
Simple distinction:
30 and 50 reactions = usually Framework.
30 failure moving toward 70 = possible CR7.
Cross + retracement to 70 = CR7.
System Decision:
Based on the data, determine:
* Controlling timeframe
* Level being traded
* Framework or CR7 setup
* Whether to wait, enter, or move up timeframe
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
STEP 6: CHOOSE THE CONTROLLING TIMEFRAME
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
For each trade idea, identify:
1. Current timeframe being traded
2. RB currently being followed
3. Whether 300/700 WMA cross is present
4. Whether the RB should shift higher
5. New controlling timeframe if shift is required
Questions:
1. Is the current RB still reachable and valid?
2. Did the 300/700 WMA cross tell me to move up?
3. Which timeframe is now controlling the move?
4. Which RB should I follow now?
Decision:
* If no 300/700 cross, continue following current timeframe RB.
* If 300/700 cross appears, move up to the next higher timeframe RB.
* If HTF level is tapped, look for LTF entry detail from the allowed doji timeframe.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
STEP 7: WAIT FOR PRICE TO TAP THE LEVEL FIRST
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Do not search for random dojis before price taps the level.
First requirement:
Price must tap a valid R/R2F level, RBox, R30, R50, or R70.
Only after the tap:
Look left for the valid doji.
Questions:
1. Did price tap the level first?
2. Is the doji being selected only after price tapped the level?
3. Is this doji already traded through before price reached the level? If yes, do not use it.
Rule:
Level first, then doji break.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
STEP 8: VALID DOJI LOCATION
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
For BUY setup:
The valid doji must be to the left and above price after price drops into the level.
The doji must NOT be:
* the exact lowest candle
* the last candle at the low
* a random doji already broken before price tapped the level
For SELL setup:
The valid doji must be to the left and below price after price rallies into the level.
The doji must NOT be:
* the exact highest candle
* the last candle at the high
* a random doji already broken before price tapped the level
Doji Location Input Options:
* Valid doji left and above
* Valid doji left and below
* Doji too high
* Doji too low
* Doji at exact low/high, invalid
* Doji already traded through before level tap, invalid
* Multiple dojis present
* First valid doji reclaimed
* Same doji reclaimed after stopout
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
STEP 9: DOJI TIMEFRAME RULE
Doji Timeframe Used options: Same timeframe as the R/R2F level, One timeframe below the R/R2F level, Invalid timeframe, or Not applicable.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
The doji must come from:
* the same timeframe as the R/R2F level, or
* one timeframe below it
Same timeframe is preferred because one timeframe below may cause more stopouts.
Doji Timeframe Guide:
* Daily R/R2F level = Daily or 4H doji
* 4H R/R2F level = 4H or 1H doji
* H1 R/R2F level = H1 or 15M doji
* 15M R/R2F level = 15M or 1M doji
Input Options:
* Same timeframe doji
* One timeframe below doji
* Invalid timeframe doji
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
STEP 10: MULTIPLE DOJI RULE
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
If there are multiple dojis in a row, use the first valid doji that price trades back above or below.
For buy:
Use the first valid doji that price trades above.
For sell:
Use the first valid doji that price trades below.
Important:
The doji cannot be the exact lowest/highest candle.
Input Options:
* One doji present
* Multiple dojis present
* First valid doji used
* Doji invalid because it is the lowest/highest candle
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
STEP 11: ENTRY RULE
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
BUY Entry:
Buy stop above the high of the valid doji.
SELL Entry:
Sell stop below the low of the valid doji.
This is a momentum entry.
After entry triggers, price should move quickly.
If price stalls around the entry, note it.
Input Options:
* Buy stop above doji high
* Sell stop below doji low
* Entry triggered
* Entry not triggered
* Price stalled after entry
* Momentum moved fast after entry
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
STEP 12: STOP LOSS RULE
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
BUY Stop Loss:
SL goes behind the low or pivot before price breaks above the doji.
SELL Stop Loss:
SL goes behind the high or pivot before price breaks below the doji.
If there is no pivot:
Use the full low/high.
Input Options:
* SL behind pivot
* SL behind full low
* SL behind full high
* No pivot present
* Conservative SL used
* Aggressive SL used
Stop Loss Reasoning:
Why did I place the SL there?
* Behind pivot
* Behind full low/high
* Protecting against invalidation
* Conservative stop
* Aggressive stop for better R:R
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
STEP 13: ATTEMPT RULE
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Maximum two attempts from the same area.
First Attempt:
If stopped out, wait for price to reclaim the same doji.
Second Attempt:
If price reclaims the same doji, take the second entry.
After Second Stopout:
Stop trading that area.
Wait for the next pullback into the next R2F level.
Input Options:
* First attempt
* Second attempt
* Stopped out once
* Reclaimed same doji
* Stopped out twice
* Done with this area
* Waiting for next R2F level
Rule:
One loss = wait for reclaim.
Two losses = leave the area.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
STEP 14: TAKE PROFIT PLANNER
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Use R-based TP and level-based context.
Do not only write:
TP = next HTF R level
Instead, define the exact target.
Examples:
* TP = 1R
* TP = 2R
* TP = 3R
* TP = H1 R50
* TP = H1 R70
* TP = H4 R30
* TP = H4 R50
* TP = Daily R70
* TP = nearest internal high before R70
* TP = nearest internal low before R70
Important:
If targeting 70, do not always target the exact 70 level.
Target the nearest internal high/low before 70 if price may stop there.
TP Reasoning:
Why this take profit?
* R-based target
* Internal high/low before level
* Nearby R30/R50/R70
* Conservative profit-taking
* Based on backtested average R
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
STEP 15: MARKET CONDITION
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Record the market condition during the setup.
Options:
* Trending bullish
* Trending bearish
* Retracing
* Ranging
* Accumulation
* Distribution
* Framework reaction
* CR7 retracement
* HTF level reaction
* Momentum continuation
* Stalling after entry
Questions:
1. Was price moving fast or slow?
2. Was the market clean or choppy?
3. Was this with HTF direction or countertrend?
4. Was this a Framework trade or CR7 trade?
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
STEP 16: TRADE REASONING
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Write why the trade was taken.
Questions:
1. Why did I enter this trade?
2. Did price tap a valid R/R2F level?
3. Was the doji in the correct location?
4. Was the doji from the correct timeframe?
5. Did price break the doji correctly?
6. Was the SL behind the correct pivot/low/high?
7. Was this first attempt or second attempt?
8. Did price move fast after entry?
9. Did I follow the two-stopout rule?
10. Why did I choose this TP?
Trade Reasoning Format:
I entered this trade because price tapped a valid ______ timeframe R/R2F level at ______. After the tap, price formed/reclaimed a valid doji on the ______ timeframe. The doji was located ______. Entry was triggered when price broke the doji ______. Stop loss was placed behind ______ because ______. Target was set at ______ because ______. This trade is classified as ______.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
STEP 17: SCREENSHOT VAULT
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Store screenshots for every trade.
Required screenshots:
1. Before Entry
2. After Entry
3. After Exit
